Celebrate a new era for Neighborhood Music School! NMS Presents: Twilight Tuesdays; an alfresco dinner and concert series. Pack a picnic and join us for four relaxing evenings of music under the stars! Concerts will take place in the Park of the Arts, located behind Neighborhood Music School. 2015 Twilight Tuesdays Line up:
Wayne Escoffery Quartet Presents: The Music of Our Tenor Masters
Wayne Escoffery, NMS alumnus, has become one of the jazz world's most talented rising stars.
Escoffery began his career touring and recording with The Eric Reed Septet and is a member of the Mingus Big Band. He toured with Jazz at Lincoln Center's Music of Masters and was chosen by Wynton Marsalis to perform the music of Dexter Gordon and Miles Davis. Featured musicians include Danny Grissett, piano; Ugonna Okegwo, bass; and Ralph Peterson, drums. This concert also features NMS jazz students and will raise support for Summer Jazz scholarships.

This concert opens with Connecticut Harp Circle, founded by NMS faculty member Haley Hewitt, to bring harp players together in a relaxed, informal setting. They have prepared a special program of old music from around the world.
Latanya Farrell headlines with her popular mix of soulful classics and urban contemporary style. Dubbed the "Queen of Summer Concerts," by the Hartford Courant, she moves audiences with her passion, energy and a love for music and life. Her award - winning vocal talent and style has influences that include Whitney Houston, Natalie Cole, Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey and Jill Scott... just to name a few!

Children 12 & Under: $5 each (available only by phone or mail in orders)
We encourage you to bring a picnic dinner. BYOB is welcome! Food trucks will be on site for select concerts. Koffee? will be offering wine & beer for $6 per glass.
